Snowflake Kisses : Verse 11

Today’s verse from Snowflake Kisses is leading my thoughts way off track! My intention to focus on writing is interrupted by dozens of special Christmas recipes.

I have to admit, I’m more of a cook than a baker. But Christmastime is the time of year when I love to practice my baking skills. I think this has to do with memories of Christmas dinners with family and how there was always such an incredible assortment of sweets!

Coming from a relatively large family, everyone gathered at my grandparents’ house for Christmas dinner. My grandmother likely spent a whole week preparing the most amazing feast for all to enjoy, therefore, everyone at the table pitched-in by bringing their favorite desert. This translated into a dozen sweet treats for everyone to choose from!

This year, with Snowflake Kisses on my mind, I’m trying to come up with a new shortbread cookie recipe to add to my chocolate logs and peppermint snowballs.

Do you have a favorite Christmas recipe that might look and taste like a Snowflake Kiss?

Keeping Christmas recipes in mind means that for today, my creative writing assignment is almost done. I just have to figure out where to include the two recipes I wrote into today’s Snowflake Tale!

Check-in again soon while I whip up some new lines to include in today’s Snowflake Tale!
