Anew Fog

by Cadence Beret

If I were fog
I’d roll in so silently
I’d erase all the pain
I’d shroud it and conceal it
      so carefully
Then I’d roll back out again
      so silently
We’d no longer hold within
The sorrow we have known
For if I were fog
I’d capture it and hold it in
A hundred million
      driplets droplets
      gliblets globlets
      fog mist dew
For us to start anew
