Introduction

After years of observing and interpreting ocean’s motion through words, these selected poems were inspired by nature, its beauty, its force, and its soothing presence.

Romantic themes resonate frequently with luxuriant verses reflecting wavelike motions filled with longings, love, loss, and hopes.

About the Author

Born in Canada, I grew up in one of our country’s greatest cities – Montreal, Quebec. After moving to another major city, as a young adult I lived in Toronto until I made my way further west to the beautiful Pacific coast of British Columbia.

After more than two decades of what is considered traditional full-time employment, I found myself experiencing the pressures and pleasures of on and off employment, which led me to creative writing.

During times when I was off employment, I found myself returning to activities that bring satisfaction and a sense of purpose. Taking time to myself while enjoying unscheduled daily routines such as quiet walks by the shoreline in-between rigorous physical activities and a dedicated creative writing schedule, is how the collection of poems featured in Ocean Air came to be.

Thank you for taking a moment of your time to get to know about me.

Cadence B.
