by Cadence Beret

You shine so bright
Up in the sky
With everyone you love
But I seem to forever be
Always stuck in mud

I don’t ever want to be
The one to bring you down
I just want you around
Cuz you’re the most important piece
Of my galaxy

I’m not a black hole tornado
I’m just tied to a chain
Like an anchor to a boat
Hooked on the ocean floor

Although I’ve tried to let loose
The chains won’t let me go
But soon rust will set in
And I will be set free

An anchor I’ll no longer be
A seastar I’ll become
Sparkling like an amethyst
Roaming in the sea

Then you and I will swirl and twirl
Through the mirrors of the world
Where you will be a lustrous pearl
Way up in the sky
And I will be an amethyst
Swimming in the sea

And occasionally we’ll meet
Upon the horizon
Where our two worlds collide
We’ll be two stars on one line

  1. I really like your blog.. very nice colors & theme. Did you create this website yourself or did you hire someone to do it for you? Plz reply as I’m looking to construct my own blog and would like to find out where u got this from. thanks a lot

    1. Thank you for the kind comment.

The theme I applied to set up is one of the many default themes available through WordPress. I activated it in October 2019 and have tinkered around with it trying to obtain a desired outcome which I continue to work on. The theme name is twenty fifteen.

Best of luck with your blog – I’ll watch for updates!
